Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the difference between 20G, 18G, and 16G?

These measurements refer to the thickness of the jewelry post.

  • 20G (0.8mm): Standard earring post thickness.

  • 18G (1.0mm): Slightly thicker than standard earrings.

  • 16G (1.2mm): Commonly used for cartilage and other body piercings.

Please check your current piercing size before ordering.

2. What labret length should I choose?

The ideal length depends on your piercing location and anatomy.

  • Earlobe: 5mm or 6mm is commonly preferred.

  • Nostril: 5mm or 6mm is commonly used.

A 5mm post may be suitable for thinner earlobes, while a 6mm post provides slightly more room. Individual fit may vary.

3. How do threadless push-pin earrings work?

Our threadless labret jewelry features a flat-back post and a removable decorative top.

Insert the flat-back post through the back of your piercing, then gently push the decorative top into the hollow post from the front. The slightly bent pin creates tension to hold the jewelry securely in place.

No twisting or screwing is required.

4. Why does sterling silver sometimes turn black?

Sterling silver can naturally tarnish over time. This does not mean the jewelry is not genuine sterling silver.

Tarnishing can occur from exposure to shampoo, soap, lotions, cosmetics, chlorine, and other chemicals. Individual skin chemistry may also contribute.

To restore its shine, gently clean the jewelry with a silver polishing cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaning methods that may damage the finish.

5. Can I wear my jewelry while showering, swimming, or sleeping?

Our titanium and stainless steel jewelry is designed for everyday wear and offers excellent water and tarnish resistance.

However, prolonged exposure to chlorine, harsh chemicals, and personal care products may affect certain finishes or decorative elements. We recommend rinsing and drying your jewelry after water exposure.

Sterling silver jewelry requires additional care to minimize tarnishing.

6. How should I clean and care for my piercing?

Always wash your hands before touching your piercing.

For healed piercings, gently clean your jewelry with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and dry with a clean, soft cloth.

For healing piercings, use sterile 0.9% saline wound wash as needed. Avoid twisting or moving the jewelry unnecessarily, and follow the aftercare instructions provided by your professional piercer.
